Two MP Officials Suspended for Misusing NREGS Funds
Bhopal — An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and another from the Madhya Pradesh State Administrative Service (SAS) were placed under suspension late on Saturday for allegedly misusing funds earmarked for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, say media reports citing officials on Sunday.
The reports identified the officers as KP Rahi (IAS), posted as the Tikamgarh Collector and Moolchand Verma, the Chief Executive Officer of Tikamgarh district panchayat.
The two are accused of violating norms and committing financial irregularities while purchasing stationery and machines using funds meant for NREGS.
The officials were suspended by the General Administration Department after recommendations from the Panchayat and Rural Development Department sought stringent action against them.
