Hathaikheda Dam will be renovated as a tourist spot in Bhopal

BHOPAL: MP Government is planning to develop a brand new boat club in the lake city. These days the state government start’s focusing on tourist that is a way to develop city’s beauty.

Maintaining the spots of historic sculptures attract tourists and commercial investor for enhancing economy of the region.

On Thursday the State honourable UAD Minister (Urban Administrator and Development Minister) Mr. Babulal Gaur organised meeting regarding that and instructed all the concerned officials for the development of tourist place on HATHIKHEDA DAM.

The state tourism development corporation will develop the features like Boat club, Cafeteria, Tourist Huts and water sports etc.

These all development is constructed on the catchment area of 770 acre of dam which will make the Hathikeda Dam second largest water body of the capital.

The development project of Hathikheda Dam is going to complete with the help of the different organizations.

The work of plantation along Dam side and bird century development is completed with the help of CPA(Capital Project Administration). Water treatment and street light fittings are completed with the help of BMC(Bhopal municipal Corporation). Dam cleaning and maintaining FTL Water Resources Department mount stones at sides and base. The fisheries department will take care of the Fish breading there. Public Health Engineering Department will assist BMC for Water treatment and maintaining pond oxidation.
