International Airport at Indore

INDORE: The Indore airport will be converted into an International airport following the construction of new terminal and other works. The decks for the same are cleared. It will give huge boost to international business said Chief Minister Chauhan.

The new building construction at Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport at Indore was inaugurated by Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh and will cost about Rs. 135 crore. Chauhan also said that airstrips will be considered in all districts and that all the districts will be connected by air routes.

Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industries Jyotiraditya Scindia said that time has come to make Indore country’s “economic satellite capital”. Member of Parliament Sumitra Mahajan said that constant efforts should be made for making available all the facilities of transport in Indore because it is a fast-growing industrial city.

The building of new integrated terminal constructed is equipped with all the modern and latest facilities and is spread over 18 thousand square feet. For car parking (about 450 cars and 10 buses) and landscaping constructions about two hectares area is marked. The facilities made by considering 500 passengers of domestic flights and 200 passengers of international flights.
