Women Commission joint bench disposes of 15 cases

Bhopal: A joint bench of Women Commission chaired by its Chairperson Smt. Upma Rai and member Smt. Snehlata Upadhyay at Bhopal disposed of 15 cases today. In all, 22 cases were put forth before the joint bench. Of these, 9 cases pertained to dowry harassment and domestic violence/atrocity, 4 to workplace harassment, 1 to kidnapping and 8 cases pertained to other issues.

In all, 20 applicants and respondents turned up during the hearing. Total 15 cases were disposed of, 3 settlements were made and 2 cases were kept reserved for the next bench.
