Swaraj in City, Assures to Be Continually in Touch with People
On her maiden visit to state capital after becoming Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj was accorded a warm welcome by BJP workers at the Raja Bhoj Airport.
Swaraj, who came by a special plane, was taken to a specially-erected pandal near the airport, where several BJP leaders including chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhand were present.
Addressing the BJP workers briefly, she said that she accepted the responsibility as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, for she would continue to receive guidance from Senior BJP leader LK Advani, who is now the chairman of the BJP parliamentary board.
Assuring people of Madhya Pradesh, she said that despite her new responsibility, she would continue to be in touch with the people of the state and will meet them routinely as earlier.
