State government committed for economic empowerment of farmers

Bhopal: Public Relations and Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that the state government is committed for economic empowerment of farmers. Now, farmers will be helped to get full compensation against losses to crops due to natural calamities. Energy Minister Shri Shukla was addressing a Kisan Sammelan at Satna on Saturday. On the occasion insurance claim certificates of Rs. 5 crore 86 lakh were distributed to 5,156 farmers. MLAs Shri Narayan Prasad Tripathi and Smt. Usha Choudhary were also present on the occasion.

Minister in-charge of the district Shri Shukla said that so far farmers were unable to get full compensation against losses to their crops. This is for the first time through state government’s efforts that farmers are getting full compensation. The Energy Minister urged farmers to cooperate with power companies in curbing power thefts.

Benefits to 3,062 beneficiaries at Antyodaya Mela: In-charge Minister Shri Shukla distributed benefits worth Rs. 29 crore under various state government schemes to 3,062 at Antyodaya Mela.

Krishi Mahotsav’s preparations reviewed: The in-charge minister reviewed preparations being made for Krishi Mahotsav beginning from September 25. He instructed to ensure participation of maximum number of farmers in the event. Shri Shukla directed officers to jointly inform farmers. It was informed that Kisan Credit Cards have been distributed to 2 lakh 8 thousand farmers in the district
