Send officers cheating in public welfare schemes to jail, says Shivraj

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed district collectors to take strict action immediately against officers found guilty of cheating in public welfare schemes and send them to jail. He also expressed displeasure about some cases of Electricity Board in which electricity bills are being sent to villagers even after disconnection of their connections. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also directed to take strict action against colleges, which are not functioning as per directives and are also indifferent towards distribution of scholarships to students.

At Samadhan Online, Shri Mohammad Khan, a farmer of village Mukhtyar Nagar in Shyampur tahsil of Sehore district complained that manager of Bank of Baroda Anil Nayar had fraudulently availed over Rs. 14 lakh loan in his name. The Chief Minister directed the district collector to provide legal assistance to the victim and move a case in court for return of documents of his property. He also directed to take immediate major action in such other cases in the district.

Student Ajaib Singh Ahirwar of village Khaniadhana in Shivpuri district had complained that he did not get scholarship during the last three years while studying as a regular student in Guru Kripa Nursing College, Murar, Gwalior. Gwalior Collector informed that in the enquiry, it was found that this institution does not exist on the given address. The Chief Minister directed Principal Secretary Medical Education to send a team from Bhopal for in-detail investigation about the institution. He also directed the collector to get amount of scholarship paid to the victim student. Jitendra Singh Yadav of Old Subhash Nagar Bhopal had also made a complaint about payment of scholarship. He informed that he and 32 other students did not get backward class scholarship since the year 2010-11. The Chief Minister instructed the collector for immediate action to arrangement payment of scholarships.

At Samadhan Online, farmer Kesrimal of village Bajkheri of Sitamau tahasil of Mandsaur district complained that electricity connection at his field is cut-off since the year 1998. Even then, electricity bills are being sent to him. The Chief Minister directed the collector to make an enquiry and solve applicant’s problem. He instructed that such arrangements should be made in the state that farmers are not given unnecessary bills.

Basorilal Gond of Narsinghpur district appealed to grant permission to him to cut teak trees on his private land. The Chief Minister directed Narsinghpur collector and Divisional Forest Officer to solve applicant’s problem by relaxing procedure for cutting of trees on private land. Keerat Gond of village Baharpur in tahsil Khurai of Sagar district appealed for giving financial assistance to hip operation. Officer of the Health Department informed that Rs. 81 thousand has been sanctioned for applicant’s operation. The Chief Minister directed officers to get the applicant admitted in Hamidia Hospital, Bhopal and make medical facility available to him.

Mohammad Sabir Khan complained that by terming registration made in Anuppur as fake, his bus licence for Chhindwara-Nagpur route was cancelled. But no action has been taken against 145 other vehicles which were registered the same day. The Chief Minister instructed Anuppur collector to make a detailed enquiry into the case and submit a report about all the registrations made on that particular date.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said at Samadhan Online that Madhya Pradesh Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act has been lauded at the United Nations also. He directed the collectors to keep undertaking inspections of Public Service Centres, impose fine in officials found guilty in delay in delivery of identified services and submit report about giving compensation to applicant. The Chief Minister said that compensation against loss of life and livestock in the recent heavy rains in the state should be given immediately.
