School education quality to be improved

BHOPAL: The Chief Minister stressed on the improvement of the school education in the state in a meeting here on Thursday.

He was reviewing School Education Department’s activities. He said that the transfer policies of teachers should be rationalized.

The policy should be scientific and rational in which special attention should be paid to teachers’ choice. He also informed that IT based system should be used for ensuring attendance of teachers in schools.

The Chief Minister will undertake a state wide tour for ensuring the 100% admission of children in schools and motivating parents in this regard.

He said that construction of schools should be done within specified time limit. The help of social workers can also be taken in this respect.

He stressed on opening a high school within a radius of 5 km. He said that union government has not given permission to open any new high school in the state this year. he will be sending a letter to the government in this regard.

He said that School Chalen Ham Abhiyan will be launched next month and the appointment of contractual teachers will be made beforre that.

Uniforms and text-books have been distributed to one crore one lakh 73 thousand students under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.

Besides, 3 lakh 65 thousand 519 cycles have also been distributed.

On the occasion School Education Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis, Minister of State Nanabhau Mohod and Chief Secretary R. Parasuram, Principal Secretary Finance Ajay Nath, Principal Secretary School Education Sanjay Singh, Principal Secretary to CM Manoj Shrivastava and other senior officers were present.
