Review meeting of Energy department taken by CM

BHOPAL (MPINFO): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed to accelerate feeder separation work. Ensure 16-hour power supply in the villages where feeders have been separated. Officers should monitor feeder separation work on daily basis. Chouhan was taking a review meeting of Energy Department here on Monday.

Minister of State for Energy Rajendra Shukla and Chief Secretary Avani Vaish also attended the meeting.

Reviewing the functioning of Power Distribution Companies, Chief Minister Chouhan said that targets should be achieved within the time-limit.

CM said that feeder separation is an ambitious scheme of the State Government and should be implemented on priority. Preference in feeder separation work should be given to the district where agriculture load is more.

After completion of the scheme, 24-hour power will be supplied to domestic consumers and for eight hours to agriculture purposes. Reviewing the activities of Power Generating Company, he said that the target of Plant Load Factor (PLF) should be achieved. Permanent pump connections should be provided to farmers on their demand.
Improvement in power supply

The meeting was informed that remarkable improvement has been witnessed in the state in power supply scenario. During the last quarter, 12993 million units of power were supplied against the target of 11979 million units. Work plan upto March 2012 has been prepared and uploaded on the departmental website. The department has completed 11 thousand 187 works under the scheme for providing new pump connections to farmers. Principal Secretary Finance Shri Ajay Nath, Secretary Energy Mohammad Sulaiman and other senior officers were also present at the meeting.
