Puar Urges Union Minister to Accord Early Sanction to State Tourism Proposals

Bhopal  — Madhya Pradesh Minister for Tourism, Tukojirao Puar has urged Union Minister for Tourism, Kumari Shailja to accord early sanction to the projects sent by Madhya Pradesh Government for year 2010-11.

Puar made this request at the Conference of Tourism Ministers of West-Indian States including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra Chhattisgarh, and Goa at Goa on March 5-6.

All these states organized an elaborate publicity campaign for their respective tourist places at this two-day conference.

The delegates also discussed various matters including luxury tax, customs, inter-state tourism circuit, security of tourist and tourist places among other issues.

The Tourism Minister thanked Kumari Shailja for her cooperation to Madhya Pradesh and expressed hopes for similar synergy in the future.

The Secretary, Tourism, Govt. of India, Sujeet Bannerjee and Chief General Manager, MP Tourism Development Corporation, Balmukund Namdev were also present on the occasion.
