People and government to jointly develop golden Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan unfurled National Flag and took salute of Republic Day parade at Ratlam today. He urged people of the state to contribute their mite in efforts to make Madhya Pradesh a golden state. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that growth rate of the state will be maintained this year also with people’s cooperation. Prosperity, happiness and peace will continue. He urged people to conserve power and water, educate girls and take pledge for de-addiction. He said that let us all in the government and society join hands to discharge our duties earnestly and dedicatedly for the state. We should take pledge to make Madhya Pradesh most prosperous state not only in the country, but also in the world.

Horticulture hub at Ratlam

The Chief Minister said that the state government will make every possible effort to make agriculture profitable. Ratlam will be developed as horticulture hub. Ratlam will be made a Smart City of its own kind. There would no lack of funds for development works for this. Ratlam will be model and prosperous city.

Dialysis units start functioning at all districts from today

The Chief Minister said that dialysis facility and cancer treatment has started in all districts from today. ‘Raushni Clinics’ for healthcare of women are also being started from today at every district hospital.

Urges to connect with Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan

The Chief Minister urged people to connect with Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan and take pledge to keep their houses and environs clean. He informed that this campaign is being effectively implemented in the state. Toilets have been constructed in 50 lakh households by December 2015. A target has been set to make all 52 thousand villages open defecation free. Besides, 1500 villages were made ODF during year 2015.

Poor Persons Welfare Year

The Chief Minister said that this year will be observed as Poor Persons Welfare Year to mark 125th birth anniversary of framer of Constitution Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and birth centenary of propounder of Antyodaya philosophy Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay. During the year, works for welare of the poor will be expedited. A campaign would be launched to provide housing pattas to landless families in urban and rural areas.

Government always stands by farmers

The Chief Minister said that the state has received Krishi Karman Award for the fourth time. Multi-dimensional experiment of Krishi Mahotsav to solve farmers problems has met with success. During Mahotsav, 20 thousand 459 Gram Panchayats were contacted. Subsidy of Rs. 25 thousand to SC and ST farmers for tubewells and pumps was increased to Rs. 40 thousand. Labs were set up in every division to ascertain quality of seeds and fertilizers. Due to vagaries of weather, year 2015 was crisis-ridden for farmers. The state government stood by farmers in the hour of crisis. Compensation worth about Rs. 4600 crore against crop loss was directly deposited in farmers’ bank accounts.

Madhya Pradesh island of peace

Simhastha Mahakumbh to send message of world peace

The Chief Minister said in his message that Madhya Pradesh is an island of peace. Message of peace would be relayed to the world during Simhastha in Ujjain. The seminar would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister informed about works being undertaken to ensure success of Simhastha in April-May this year. He said that over 5 crore devotees are expected to attend Simhastha-2016. Elaborate action plan costing about Rs. 3200 crore has been sanctioned to ensure better facilities for devotees. Development works on such a large scale have been undertaken at Ujjain for the first time. These are changing face of the Holy City. An ideological seminar will also be held during Simhastha.

Education Welfare Fund to be instituted

The Chief Minister said that the government has decided to provide scholarships to all sections’ students. There would be no lack of funds for talented students. Education Welfare Fund will be instituted and there would be no discrimination of caste and creed. The state government will distribute laptops to meritorious students.

Target to irrigate 40 lakh hectares by year 2018

The Chief Minister said that initiative to take Narmada water to remote areas is on way to success. Narmada-Kshipra-Simhastha Link Project has been completed. This would make adequate water available during Simhastha. Work has been started on Rs. 2187 crore Narmada-Malwa-Gambhir Link Project. A target has been set to irrigate 40 lakh hectares by year 2018. It is noteworthy that area under irrigation from all sources in the state has increased from 7.5. hectares a decade ago to 36 lakh hectares now.

Other salient features of CM’s address

Shaurya Smarak has been constructed to highlight sacrifices of freedom fighters as a source of inspiration.

At CM House, Panchayats of 36 different sections were held to chalk out welfare schemes for them with their consent.

Women have been given 50 percent reservation in local bodies and 33 percent in government service except Forest Department.

State has received Krishi Karman Award for fourth time. The government dedicates this award to farmers of the state.

Now concerning staff will give information about crop insurance scheme during Kisan Sabha at every Gram Panchayat.

One small or big unit would be set up in every Panchayat to promote food processing.

Agriculture can be made profitable only when Government and society join hands.

Loans worth about Rs. 2500 crore and subsidy of an identical amount has been given to over 5 lakh 61 thousand families under Mukhyamantri Grameen Aawas Mission.

Over 10000 scheduled caste youths have been benefited under self-employment and skill development schemes. Benefit of Mukhyamantri Chhatragrih Yojana has been availed by 50 thousand SC and ST students.

The state government has implemented various schemes for girls. So far, 21 lakh girls have benefited by Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Similarly, 3 lakh 60 thousand girls have been benefited by Mukhyamantri Kanyadan and Nikah Yojana.

Under Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana, 5 crore 34 lakh families are being provided wheat and rice at Re. one per kg.

CM’s announcements

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that at present the state government is providing loans to farmers at zero percent interest rate. But from this year, if a farmer obtains loan of Rs. one lakh will be required to replay only Rs. 90 thousand.

The state government has also decided to empower village administration. Shri Chouhan said that now e-Loan Books will be provided to farmers on nominal fee. Powers to dispose of cases of undisputed mutation and undisputed partition of property would be delegated to Gram Panchayats. New policy of patta renewal in urban areas will be chalked out.

The Chief Minister said that funds exceeding ratio of SC and ST population is being earmarted in state plan.

Jalabhishek Abhiyan would be launched. Besides, use of drip sprinklers will be promoted.

The government is working hard to achieve the target that every poor has his own house by year 2022.

Scholarships will also be given to students belonging to the general category poor. Under it, maximum annual income limit of students’ parents has been increased from Rs. 54000 to Rs. one lakh 20 thousand.

From this year, cycles will be given to students by the government instead of amount.

Now, loans and subsidies under various schemes would be given to 5 lakh jobless youths every year.

At the function, school children presented colourful cultural programmes. The Chief Minister praised all programmes. Attractive tableaux were taken out by various government departments.

State level prizes to officers-employees for outstanding performance

The Chief Minister gave away state level prizes to officers and employees for outstanding performance. The awardees included Dr. Dinesh Yashwant Ram Pendharkar, Mumbai, Dr. C.M. Tripathi, Ujjain, Dr. Lalit Mohan Pant, Indore, Dr. Govind Singh, Shivpuri, Dr. Pradeep Agrawal, Jabalpur, Dr. Bharat Vajpayee, Indore, Dr. Urmila Choyal, Jhabua and Ku. Sumitra Kirar, Alirajpur.
