Over 2.53 lakh thousand electioneering material removed 3 days ahead of polling

Bhopal: Posters, banners and hoardings have been removed from government and private buildings to ensure free and fair Vidhan Sabha election in Madhya Pradesh on November 25. Strict action is also being taken against violators of Prevention of Defacement of Public Property Act

So far, 2 lakh 53 thousand 68 wall paintings, posters, banners etc have been removed from public and private properties. As many as 2 lakh 16 thousand 85 posters, banners and wall paintings have been removed from public properties and 36 thousand 983 publicity material from private properties.
So far, 44 thousand 504 wall writings, 70 thousand 220 posters, 40 thousand 788 banners and 60 thousand 573 other materials have been removed from public properties. During the action, 128 cases have also been registered. Similarly, 15 thousand 29 wall writings, 7 thousand 976 posters, 5 thousand 77 banners and 8 thousand 659 other materials have been removed from public properties. As many as 30 cases have also been registered in this regard.
As many as 703 cases of misuse of vehicles have come to the fore in districts and FIRs have been registered in 41 cases. Similarly, FIRs have been registered in 25 out of 68 cases for use of loudspeakers without official permission. Cases have been registered in 11 out of 27 complaints of meetings/speeches without government permission. Cases have been registered in 7 out 16 complaints regarding bribing voters with cash or kind. Cases have also been registered in 56 out of 303 other complaints.
