Over 14.50 lakh girls become “Lakhpati” since birth

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has established identity as a state where the government is not only concerned over daughters’ future, but is also running a number of schemes for their welfare. Madhya Pradesh government is giving opportunity to girls become ‘lakhpati’ since birth. A number of schemes like Ladli Laxmi Yojna are being implemented in the state for improving sex ratio. Six years ago, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan had launched novel scheme Ladli Laxmi Yojna. As a result of its effective implementation and monitoring, 14 lakh 54 thousand 342 girls have become Ladli Laxmis so far.
Maximum 3 lakh 16 thousand 399 girls have been benefited under Ladli Laxmi Yojna in Jabalpur division followed by 2 lakh 34 thousand 818 in Indore division, one lakh 71 thousand 661 Ujjain and one lakh 59 thousand 93 girls in Sagar division.
In other divisions, one lakh 45 thousand 191 girls got the benefit of Ladli Laxmi Yojna in Bhopal, one lakh 15 thousand 984 Gwalior, one lakh 14 thousand 717 Rewa, 74 thousand 194 Narmadapuram, 70 thousand 390 Chambal and 51 thousand 895 girls were benefited in Shahdol division.
Among districts, Chhindwara has been on top in the scheme’s implementation by benefiting 66 thousand 482 Ladli Laxmis during last five years followed by Jabalpur where 63 thousand 5 girls were benefited. As many as 56 thousand 128 girls have been benefited in Sagar, 53 thousand 992 in Indore district, 48 thousand 693 in Bhopal, 47 thousand 584 in Balaghat, 47 thousand 584 in Dhar, 44 thousand 862 in Satna, 38 thousand 536 in Betul and 37 thousand 366 girls have been benefited in Seoni district.
