One More Dies of Dengue, Toll Reaches Eight in State

Death toll in dengue has reached eight in the state with death of a dengue patient in a local hospital in the state capital, said officials.

The disease broke late last month in various parts of the State, official sources said today.

According to information, Ballu Choudhary, a resident of Bareli in Raisen district who had been undergoing treatment in a private hospital for the past few days, succumbed to his illness yesterday.

He had dengue for a fortnight and before being referred to Bhopal, he had also undergone medication in Bareli and Raisen hospitals, they said.

With his death, the toll due to dengue has gone up to eight in the State, they said.

It may be mentioned that maximum deaths were reported from Balaghat where three persons died of the disease, followed by Bhopal (two) and one each in Indore, Rajgarh and Raisen, the reports said.
