New policy for automobile industry

BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while addressing a meeting of High-level Investment Augmentation Empowered Committee at Mantralaya on Wednesday said that he will chalk out a new automobile policy in the state by considering feasibility of automobile industry sector and positive attitude of investors. He instructed to extend concessions including entry tax to industries and to solve land acquisition process through local consent. The changes which are to be made in captive power policy were also discussed in meeting.

Many high level authorities including Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya ,Finance Minister Raghavji, Chief Secretary Avani Vaish, Additional Chief Secretary R. Parshuram, Additional Chief Secretary Industries P.K. Dash and Principal Secretaries of Revenue, Housing & Environment, Water Resources, Urban Administration, Finance, Woman & Child Development, Commercial Taxes departments were present on the occasion.

The issues like expectations of industries for establishment of four industries in the state and exemption in VAT, entry tax etc were discussed in the meeting. The new industries to be set up includes Ultratech Cement to be set up in Dhar district at a cost of Rs. 1500 crore, Exonoble India to be constructed at Bhind at a cost of Rs. 284 crore, Messrs Man Force to be set up at cost of Rs. 55 crore at Pithampur and a Rs. 920 crore plant of R.M.G. Super Conductors proposed to be set up in Katni.
