MPHRC Issues Notice to Bhopal Collector, City Police: Report
In Nitish Shukla case, the Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission has issued notice to the Bhopal district collector and city police, reported Times Now.
It may be mentioned that Nitish, 17, was allegedly brutally thrashed by the police in Bhopal yesterday on suspicion of being a Shiv Sainik.
According to report, police mistook Shukla for a Sainik protesting the release of the SRK starrer ‘My Name is Khan’.
Report said that when Nitish was chatting with his friend, police caught hold him and started bashing him up and he was sent to jail instead of a juvenile home despite being a minor, report said.
The boy repeatedly pleaded before the cops that he was not a Sainik but they didn’t believe him, said report.
