MP Offers Free Land, Infrastructure to Infosys
Wooing investors, Madhya Pradesh sate government has offered free land and necessary infrastructure to information technology major Infosys for setting up a unit in the state.
Speaking at a function attended by Infosys Chief mentor, NR Narayanmurthy, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said Indore had potential to be developed as a regional IT hub.
Narayanmurthy arrived in the city last evening to take part in several programmes.
Welcoming the Infosys chief in the city, Chouhan said the state wanted Infosys to set up its unit in the state despite global slowdown, as “this is the right time for the investors to invest in the state”.
Speaking on the occasion Narayanmurthy said though he was visiting the city for the first time, it appears that the city was fast moving towards emerging as a major IT hub of the country.
