Gaon ki Beti, Pratibha Kiran, Vikramaditya and conveyance facility included in global budget
Bhopal: From financial year 2013-14, the Higher Education Department has included Gaon ki Beti, Pratibha Kiran, Vikramaditya free education scheme and conveyance facility for girl students in global budget. Now, a centralised budget system has been evolved for these schemes. A sum of Rs. 3425 lakh has been provisioned for these schemes in budget for current fiscal.
Rs. 2500 lakh has been provisioned for Gaon ki Beti scheme, Rs. 200 lakh for Pratibha Kiran Yojana, Rs. 75 lakh for Vikramaditya free education scheme for weaker sections and Rs. 650 lakh has been provisioned for girl students’ conveyance facility.
Funds provisioned under Gaon ki Beti and Pratibha Kiran schemes are exempted from quarterly budget system. For this, there is no binding for quarterly drawl. College principals have been directed to invite applications from girl students till September 30 and provide benefits to them by October 31.
