First contingent under ‘Maa Tujhe Pranam’ scheme to depart on June 10

Bhopal: The first contingent under “Maa Tujhe Pranam” scheme of Sports & Youth Welfare Department will depart from Bhopal on June 10. The scheme has been launched to instill patriotism among youths, create awareness about security of country’s borders and give exposure to them about activities of the army on international borders.

Under the scheme, 10 youths (5 boys and girls each) from 15 to 35 years of age have been selected from every district of the state. In the first phase, men’s contingent will leave for Kargil, Leh, Wagah border (Amritsar) and Hussainiwala (Punjab). For this contingent toKargil, 5 males each have been selected from Indore, Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani, Alirajpur and Khargone districts, for Leh from Bhopal, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Rajgarh and Betul, for Wagah border from Harda, Khandwa, Jabalpur, Panna, Burhanpur, Neemuch and Ratlam districts and for contingent to Hussainiwala (Punjab) youths have been selected from Ujjain, Satna, Dewas, Dindori and Mandla district. Five young males have been selected from every district. These male contingents will leave for their respective destinations from Bhopal on June 10 through separate trains.
Similarly, female contingents will leave for Kochi, Tanot Mata ka Mandir (Rajasthan), Longowal and R.S. Pura (Jammu-Kashmir). Contingent for Kochi will comprise females selected from Satna, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Umaria, Anuppur, Balaghat, Seoni, Chhindwara, Tikamgarh, Narsinghpur and Katni districts, Tanot Mata ka Mandir (Jaisalmer) from Indore, Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani, Alirajpur and Khagone, Longowal from Bhopal, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Rajgarh and Betul districts. Similarly female contingent forR.S. Pura (Jammu-Kashmir) will leave Bhopal on June 11. This contingent will comprise females from Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Datia, Ashok Nagar, Guna, Shajapur, Sagar, Damoh, Chhatarpur and Panna districts. Officers of the Sports & Youth Welfare Department and security personnel will accompany all the contingents.
In the second phase of “Maa Tujhe Pranam” scheme, female contingents will be sent to the places where male contingents have been sent in the first phase and vice versa.
