Film City at Chiklod
BHOPAL: About 1,000 acre land for the proposed Film City at Chiklod in Raisen district, about 40 kilometers from Bhopal, has been identified by the government. Culture Minister Sharma inspected this land on Monday, 26 March along with the officers.
The names of accompanied officers were Raisen district Collector Mohanlal Meena, Director Culture Shriram Tiwari and other senior officers.
Culture Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as an important centre for film production with especially Bhopal.
Beautiful locations of Madhya Pradesh and Bhopal have termed as important for films by several important personalities of film world. For the proposed Film City two more pieces of land in Bhopal district have been identified.
After getting all the three sites examined and evaluated by experts a proposal for establishing the proposed Film City will be put before the cabinet for approval.
Infrastructure of the proposed Film City will be developed in cooperation with investors said cultural minister.
