Fans Pay Rich Tributes to Kishore Kumar

Bhopal:   On the occasion of actor-singer Kishore Kumar’s 80th birth anniversary, scores of fans paid rich tributes to the late singer at his birth place Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday.

People queued up at his residence and `samadhi sthal’ to pay their respects.

Commemorating the occasion the State Culture Department and a private FM radio channel organized a function in Bhopal.

Addressing the gathering Culture and Public Relations Minister Laxmikant Sharma said the National Kishore Kumar Award, instituted by the state government, would be presented on October 13 to coincide with the late star’s death anniversary.
