Computer lab for disabled students in 5 district of MP

Bhopal: From the point of view quality of education, tribal districts like Anuppur, Mandla, Betul are among the top ten districts. This has come to light during a survey for new rankings conducted by the School Education Department. Arrangement for computer lab for disabled students are being made in 5 district including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad and Gwalior. Its equipments and software have been arranged and necessary training is being started. It was informed at the meeting that special training classes are also being held as follow-up of Pratibha Parv. It will facilitate students of D and E grades to improve their performance. Students grade improvement is being monitored every week. This information was given at a meeting of Madhya Pradesh Sarva Shiksha Mission. Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, Chief Secretary Shri Parasuram directed to step up efforts in the lowest 50 development blocks in educational quality. He directed to ensure teaching arrangements for disabled students. The Chief Secretary said that information technology systems should be used for ensuring cent percent attendance in schools. This will help further improve education quality in the state.
The Chief Secretary said that efforts should also be made to overcome the tendency of students to drop school midway through their education. He said that attention should be paid to connect MEENA Radio with community radio for educational improvement. It was informed at the meeting that constant efforts have been made to improve education scenario at 19 development blocks of three districts including Alirajpur, Jhabua and Dindori and regular review meetings are also being held in this regard. The Chief Secretary directed that an action plan should be implemented to ensure that every child in slum areas in the state’s major cities gets the benefit of education. At the meeting, discussions were also held on annual action plan of Sarva Shiksha Mission for year 2013-14.

Rashmi Arun Shami and Additional Mission Director Rajya Shiksha Kendra Shri Shobhit Jain were present at the meeting.
