Compensation to Labourers in Case of Accidental Death

Bhopal — On the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, Minister of State for Labour and Revenue Karan Singh Verma on Thursday announced that a Rs. one lakh compensation would be paid to the families of labourers, in case of accidental death.

Till now, compensation was only provided to construction labourers.

On the occasion, Verma distributed cheques to beneficiaries under several labour welfare schemes.

Addressing the function, Verma appealed to the labourers to ensure their registration so that they could benefit from state government initiatives launched for their welfare.
