Committed efforts to benefit last persons in last row :CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that committed efforts are being made by Madhya Pradesh government to reach out benefits of schemes to last persons in last row. Besides, successful efforts have also been made make agriculture profitable.

Shri Chouhan was addressing a public meeting at Antyodaya Mela at Kotar tahsil headquarters in Satna district today. At the fair, benefits worth Rs. 6 crore 45 lakh were given away to 25 thousand 330 beneficiaries. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone for construction works costing Rs. 19 crore.
The Chief Minister said that unprecedented expansion of irrigation facility has been made in the state. It also benefited Vindhya to a large extent. In Satna district, Bansagar canals have irrigated 20 thousand hectare. He said that apart from providing loans to farmers at zero percent interest rate, Rs. 150 per quintal bonus is also being given to them on procurement of wheat. The process of Atal Jyoti Abhiyan for 24X7 power supply is continuing in the state. This will help small and cottage industries and boost other economic activities.
The Chief Minister said that process is underway to return land, which has not come in submergence area of Tons barrage, to farmers. The Chief Minister announced a number of local development works.
MP Shri Ganesh Singh, MLAs Shri Jugalkishore Bagri, Shri Shankarlal Tiwari and Shri Surendra Singh Gaharwar and other public representatives were also present on the occasion. Member of Parliament and MLAs also spoke on the occasion.
