CM’s clarion call for addiction-free society

Bhopal: Giving a clarion call for building an addiction-free society, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that he will give message of de-addiction in his every speech. Shri Chouhan was addressing 108th Nashamukti Mahashankhnad Shivir of Shakti Chetna Jan-Jagaran Shivir here today. Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava and Shivir’s propounder Sadguru Paramhans Yogiraj Shri Shaktiputra Maharaj were also present on the occasion.

Shri Chouhan said that constant efforts are being made to build addiction-free society in the state. Pledge was administered to people of the state under Aao Banayen Apna Madhya Pradesh movement for de-addiction, hygienic life, prevention of wastage of water and power, save daughter and plant minimum one sapling. No new liquor shop is being opened in the state. Liquor factories are not being allowed to be set up. Strictest action is being taken in cases of illicit liquor. He informed that even meat export from the state is not permitted.

Shri Chouhan said that final goal of life is attainment of God, which has three paths – knowledge, devotion and Karma. He said that one who treads path of knowledge shows path of righteousness to others. A devotional person loses self in worship of God and attains Paramatma. Similarly, teachers, doctors, engineers, contractors, businessmen and politicians can attain God through earnest and devoted discharge of their duties. He said that worldly happiness is not real happiness for a human being. The real one is the happiness of heart, mind and soul.

Yogiraj Shri Shaktiputra Maharaj called for making life free of consumption of liquor and meat, shun untouchability and be free of casteism. He said that there are 2 reasons for downfall of humanity – addition and cow slaughter. He informed that abandoning addiction-meat is necessary for attaining purity of soul. He informed that volunteers of Bhavya Manav Kalyan Sangathan are committed to building liquor/meat-free society.
