CM urges all sections of society to cooperate in state’s development

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that 15 lakh houses will be constructed for the poor during next 5 years. Referring to state government’s efforts for state’s all-round development and welfare works, Shri Chouhan urged all sections of society to actively cooperate in this. Shri Chouhan was addressing an “Aao Banayen Apna Madhya Pradesh” convention at Damoh today. On the occasion, he also administered pledge to people to become partner in the state’s development. The Chief Minister also distributed cheques for assistance to beneficiaries of various schemes.

The Chief Minister said that every village will be linked with roads in next 5 years. Not only villages, farmers will also get road facility upto their farms for which Khet-Sadak Yojana has been launched. He said that Madhya Pradesh has received Central Government’s Krishi Karman Award consecutively for second year due to farmers’ hard work and state government’s constant efforts for agricultural growth. He said that state government is paying full attention to interests of the poor. They are being provided wheat, rice and iodised salt at the rate of Re. 1 per kg. He said that state government has implemented schemes for better education and upbringing of girls. He specially referred to Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Gaon Ki Beti Yojana. He announced to upgrade Government Kamla Nehru Girls College Damoh to post-graduate college and start post-graduate classes of geography, chemistry, physics and botany there. He said that post-graduate classes of Urdu will also be started.

The Chief Minister appealed to people to conserve water, plant saplings, construct clean toilets, educate children and respect women. He said that Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana has been implemented to help youths establish their industries and businesses. Scholarships will also be given to students belonging to general category. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also performed Kanya Poojan. Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava and Finance Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya also spoke on the occasion. MP Shri Shivraj Singh Lodhi, MLAs Smt. Umadevi Khatik and Shri Lakhan Patel and other public representatives were also present.
