CM reviews preparations for Global Investors Summit at Indore

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed preparations for Global Investors Summit-2014 at Brilliant Convention Centre at Indore today. He was accompanied by Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia. The Chief Minister said that Global Investors Summit is giving a global identity to Madhya Pradesh. The summit is being discussed at both national and international level. He informed that he held discussions on investment possibilities with the Australian High Commissioner at Bhopal today. Canada has also offered pre-Investors Summit visit. In this way, entire world is looking towards us for investment possibilities. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is a state with immense possibilities. It has abundant natural wealth. State’s economic rating is also in A Category. He said that efforts would be made to link investors with state’s development and people’s prosperity. Shri Chouhan said that Global Investors Summit will make market available to investors of both Madhya Pradesh and India. Over 7 countries will give their presentations during the summit. These countries will give presentations on investment possibilities in their countries. So far, over 3 thousand delegates have got registered for the summit and applications of over 250 delegates are pending. The Chief Minister said that Global Investors Summit should be world class. All delegates should get better atmosphere. Earlier, the Chief Minister reviewed preparations for the visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 9 at Indore airport. He inspected the corridor outside old airport and the road from airport via MR-10 to Brilliant Centre. He directed to ensure tight security arrangements on both sides of the road. Attractive hoardings should be put up highlighting achievements of the state in tourism, industries, culture, agriculture and natural resources. The Chief Minister sought information about arrangements at main hall of Brilliant Convention Centre. He directed that equal arrangements should be made for investors and people on stage. The Chief Minister also discussed press briefing room, media room etc. and directed to make available all modern facilities. He directed for making a presentation again after completion of arrangements for parking, hotels and sitting. The Chief Minister directed that common people should not face any difficulty during Investors Summit. Those present on the occasion included Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa, OSD Police Shri Surendra Singh, TRIFAC’s MD Shri D.P. Ahuja and Indore’s senior officers.
