CM Helpline a good initiative: Bhupedra Singh

Bhopal: Public Services Management and Science & Technology Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh and UNICEF State Head Shri Traver D. Clarke inspected CM Helpline’s call centre and sought detailed information about activities there. Shri Clarke said that CM Helpline is a laudable initiative to ensure good governance in Madhya Pradesh. Through it, people of remote areas get information about various government schemes and get their problems solved.

Direct dialogue: At the call centre, Minister Shri Singh had talk on mobile with Shri Kalyan Singh of village Sattukheri in Kurwai tahasil of Vidisha district regarding his complaint. Shri Kalyan Singh informed that he had applied for demarcation of his land on October 28, 2014, which has not been disposed of till date. Minister Shri Singh directed Vidisha Collector Shri B.M. Ojha over telephone to ensure action on demarcation of land within 3 days and also take action against concerning revenue inspector and patwari. The Minister told the complainant that if his complaint is not redressed within 3 days, he should again register his complaint on CM Helpline 181. Shri Clarke lauded disposal of complaints through the call centre.

During inspection, information was given through a presentation that 93 percent of cases received under CM Helpline regarding information of government schemes and complaints have been disposed of since beginning of CM Helpline from July 1, 2014. The call centre functions from 7 am to 11 pm daily. On an average, the centre receives 35 thousand calls daily. Most of the calls are made to get information about government schemes.
