CII to cooperate in Make in Madhya Pradesh campaign

Bhopal: Confederation of Indian Industries will extend active cooperation in “Make in Madhya Pradesh” campaign. Its delegation met Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan in this regard here today.

Lauding leadership of Shri Chouhan, the confederation said that Madhya Pradesh has achieved distinction of favoured destination of investors. It has also made its impressive presence felt in world’s investor countries. Now, liberal policies and political stability of the state is being talked about in countries like US, Canada, South Korea and China. Investors from these countries are also coming to Madhya Pradesh. CII delegation while lauding efforts of the Chief Minister to promote industries, described “Make in Madhya Pradesh” drive as a strong message for industrial sector.

The Chief Minister said that an MoU will be signed to avail benefits of CII’s long experience, efficiency and contacts. He desired the confederation to chalk out a special strategy for every sector.

CII congratulated Madhya Pradesh for becoming fastest growing state of the country industrially, chalking out excellent investment policy and outstanding fiscal performance.

Referring to “Make in Madhya Pradesh’ campaign, members of the delegation said that a roadmap will be chalked out for investment and warehousing and logistics sector. Besides, strategies will also be chalked out for skill upgradation, urban infrastructure development, construction of small industries’ clusters and Digital Madhya Pradesh. A roadmap will also be chalked out to focus Global Investors Summit 2016 mainly on investment and concrete achievements. It is noteworthy that CII is national partner of Madhya Pradesh in hold Global Investors Summit.

The delegation comprised CII’s Vice-President Shri Sudhir Mehta, Director General Shri Chandrajeet Bannerji and Regional Director Shri Kailash Chandra Singh. Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa, Principal Secretary Industries Shri Mohammad Suleman and Principal Secretary to CM Shri S.K. Mishra were also present.
