Chief Minister says, Union Budget highly disappointing

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has described Union Budget 2013-14 as highly disappointing. The budget has given no ray of hope and trust to any section. He said that the budget has failed on every front be it youths, farmers, labourers or entrepreneurs.
Reacting to the General Budget, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that curtailment in states’ share in Central Direct Taxes will adversely affect state’s economy. Share of Madhya Pradesh in Central Taxes is estimated to decline by about Rs. 800 crore this year. He said that overall, it looks like that the Union Government is failing to increase growth rate. Dearness will increase if growth rate does not increase. People’s purchasing power will come down due to which economic activities will slump further.
