‘Ayush Sampoorna Swasthya sabke liye’ to be implemented soon

Bhopal: Action plan “AYUSH-Sampoorn Swasthya Sabke Liye” is going to be implemented shortly in Madhya Pradesh to achieve target of health for all through Ayurved, Homoeopathy and Unani systems of medicine. Under the five-tier action plan, AYUSH medical education will be expanded, AYUSH domestic remedies will be promoted and AYUSH first aid, medical service and specialised medical service will be made available.

This unique action plan of its own kind in the country is to be implemented in Madhya Pradesh’s 1625 Ayurved, Homoeopathy and Unani dispensaries, 31 hospitals, 36 AYUSH Wings and 9 AYUSH Medical College Hospitals.

Under the Action Plan, clusters comprising 30-35 villages have been formed. Their headquarters will be sector’s Government AYUSH Dispensaries. The sector in-charge will implement the action plan with the cooperation of AYUSH Medical Officer, People’s Representatives, panchayat office-bearers and school principals.

First aid \ service will be made available through AYUSH paramedical stall at each AYUSH sector for common ailments including cold, ordinary fever, cough, malaria, malnutrition, anaemia, injury, burns etc.

AYUSH medical system’s knowledge will be used and cooperation of AYUSH staff will also be sought in various programmes like family welfare, de-addiction, heart disease, diabetes, filaria, mental disease, old age related ailments and control over malnutrition.

At dispensaries of Ayurved, Homoeopathy and Unani systems of medicine, AYUSH medical officers will provide preliminary treatment. If needed, a patient will be referred to AYUSH Hospital at district headquarters, AYUSH Wings or AYUSH Medical College Hospital. The referred patient will be provided specialised medical treatment over there through panchkarm and other methods.
