All sections should eradicate evil of child marriage unitedly

Bhopal: Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa has urged various sections of society to eradicate the evil of child marriage. In a message through All India Radio, the Chief Secretary said that marriage in tender age is not only harmful for health but also ends chances of educational and financial empowerment.

In the message, the Chief Secretary also informed that as per Child Marriage Act 2006, marriages of girls below 18 years and boys below 21 years of age are banned.

Chief Secretary Shri de Sa’s message will be broadcast on May 1 on Vividh Bharti Bhopal from 11 am to 12 noon and all Akashwani Kendras in the state from 12 noon to 1 pm.
