About 50,000 jobs for Tribal in coming years

BHOPAL: During the next three years, around 50,000 tribal youths will be provided jobs in Madhya Pradesh, said Tribal Welfare Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah on Wednesday.

It was declared during a departmental officers meeting. According to the 2001 census, there are 12.23 million tribals in the state. They constitute 20.27 percent of the total state population of 60.38 million.

In Madhya Pradesh there are 46 recognized Scheduled Tribes and three of them were identified as ‘special primitive tribal groups’, he said.

Shah said in 89 tribal development blocks in the state efforts would be made to construct houses for doctors and paramedical staff with a view to ensure availability of the health staff there.
