GST implantation next year being considered: Union MoS for Finance Shri Sinha

Bhopal. Union Minister of State for Finance Shri Jayant Sinha has said that Central government is considering to implement GST Act from April 2017. Implementation of GST will make taxation process easier and help control inflation in the country. He told businessmen not be afraid of GST, but understand it properly.

Shri Singh was addressing ‘Vichar Vimarsh’ seminar marking completion of Central government’s 2 years in the auditorium of Gwalior Chamber of Commerce at Gwalior today. Shri Sinha said that the central government is function under concept of inclusive development.

Union Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Venkaiah Naidu said that implementation of GST will help businessmen and industrialist to maintain their ledgers and the government to ensure transparency. He clarified that GST is destination tax and not supply tax.

Shri Naidu said that we have come before the people with report card of Central government’s 2-year performance. Economy has strengthened and India’s image in foreign countries has improved during last 2 years.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government is committed for Gwalior city’s development. A meeting will be held at Bhopal for development of Gwalior.
