Sex Tainted Halappa’s Bail Plea Adjourned till May 13

Rape tainted former Karnataka minister Hartal Halappa has claimed that the video footage on the alleged incident involving his friend’s wife had been sexed up, said media reports.

Moving the bail application in the high court, senior counsel Ravi B Naik said that the video was tampered as if to make it seem as a rape case and that the woman and her husband had falsely implicated Halappa to tarnish his reputation, reports said.

He contended that there were differences between the FIR and the purported video footage, claimed to have been shot by Chandravathy’s husband last November, said reports.

Justice B V Pinto adjourned the hearing on the bail plea till May 13 and instructed the public prosecutor to file objections, if any on that day, said reports.
