Congress candidates to submit two separate reports regarding elections and organisations Kamal Nath

The review meeting of Congress regarding the results of the recently concluded Assembly Elections 2023 was held in the auditorium of the State Congress Headquarters today in the presence of State Congress President Shri Kamal Nath, former Chief Minister Shri Digvijay Singh and senior Congress leaders.

State Congress President Shri Kamal Nath welcomed all the winning MLAs and candidates of Congress who came to the meeting. He said that we have lost in this election. But I remember we lost even worse in 1977. At that time our top leaders of the country like Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Mr. Sanjay Gandhi also lost the elections. The whole atmosphere seemed against Congress, but we all united and came to the field. In the elections held after three years, Indira Gandhi formed a government with full majority with more than 300 seats, similarly we have to start preparing for the Lok Sabha elections to be held after 4 months and form our government with full strength.

Shri Kamal Nath said that all the candidates and MLAs should thoroughly review their elections and analyze scientifically why they lost or won. He asked all the candidates to send two separate reports to him within the next ten days. Analysis of the elections in one report and review of the organization in the other report should be sent secretly. He said that he will tour the entire state very soon and the entire party will prepare for the Lok Sabha elections.

Shri Kamal Nath urged the candidates and MLAs to present their election experience in the meeting. Main points emerged from the experiences shared by most of the winning MLAs and candidates.

Where the Congress party lost by a huge margin, more than 100 EVM machines were found to be 99 percent charged at the time of counting. Whereas during voting they were used for more than 10 hours. This means that these machines were not used at all during the counting process, which is not possible under any circumstances. This raises suspicion that either the EVMs were changed or they were tampered with.

Candidates said that on an average a serious case of tampering is seen in 100 EVM machines or 20 thousand votes.

When Congress was getting a huge majority in the postal vote, the sudden reduction in EVM machines raises doubts.

Due to this manipulation, when BJP gained lead on most of the seats, by putting pressure on the administration, Congress candidates who were trailing or leading by small margins in the last five rounds of counting were declared defeated.

All the candidates said that the people of Madhya Pradesh have expressed confidence in the leadership of Kamal Nath ji and the candidates also have full faith in the leadership of Kamal Nath ji, now the real need is to remove the EVMs which have become completely doubtful from the election process. Effective measures should be taken for this.

The candidates also said that this time they got more votes than before in the booths dominated by BJP, while their votes in their strongest booths unexpectedly came down.

After listening to the views of the Congress candidates, Shri Kamal Nath said that all the candidates should send their reports to him in detail and with facts. He has also received many complaints regarding EVMs. He will raise this issue before the national leadership in the meetings in Delhi and will find a solution by doing a thorough in-depth study on this subject.

Shri Kamal Nath said that this does not mean that Congress candidates do not have to look at their other shortcomings. We have to overcome each and every one of our shortcomings and contest the Lok Sabha elections and make the Congress party victorious.

All the winning MLAs and candidates of Congress including former Union Minister Suresh Pachauri, Kantilal Bhuria, Ajay Singh Rahul Bhaiya, Dr. Govind Singh, Sajjan Singh Verma, Kamleshwar Patel, Ramnivas Rawat, Rameshwar Neekhara, Aunkar Markam were present in the meeting.

The meeting was conducted by Rajiv Singh, vice president and organization in-charge of State Congress.
