State-wide campaign for Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojanas from May 20
Bhopal: All is set for launch of state-wide campaign for registration of all eligible beneficiaries under Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhanmantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima and Atal Pension Yojana from May 20.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch a special campaign from his residence here on May 18 at 10 am. During it, insurance forms of CM’s staff and their family members will be filled up. The Chief Minister will give away certificates to beneficiaries.
Officers of State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, Union Bank of India, Allahabad Bank, Punjab National Bank, HDFC Bank, New India Assurance Company, Life Insurance Corporation of India and Directorate of Institutional Finance are participating in the programme.
Directives have been given to district administration to organise special camps for registration of all eligible persons at every development block headquarters. All lead banks in the state have assigned this responsibility to their respective nodal officers.
It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh had stood first in the country by opening bank accounts of all beneficiaries under Pradhanmantri Jan-Dhan Yojana. A target has been set to register all eligible persons under Prime Minister’s insurance schemes by August 15.
