IT raids at 50 locations of Som Group

Searching in several cities including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur was done in IT  raids at 50 locations of Som Group.

Ahead of assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, IT raided the house of Jagdish Arora, owner of Som Group in Bhopal. The team has reached around 50 locations of Som Group in five states including Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Simultaneous action is being taken on charges of tax evasion in many places including Bhopal Shahpura police station area. According to the information, the IT team includes officials from Indore and Mumbai.

Apart from Bhopal, the action has started in Jabalpur, Indore and Raisen from this morning. Team Raisen reached Sehatganj at 6 am. Bhopal’s MP Nagar Zone-2 office was called at 7 am. The officer arrived here in a car and a traveler. The team consists of officers and police personnel from Raipur, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi. A few minutes after the raid on the group’s head office, another team of officers raided the house and office of the company’s board of directors.

Apart from this, the Income Tax Department is also taking action in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Cuttack and Bangalore. CRPF jawans are also present with the team. It is reported that apart from the residence and offices of the owner of Som Group, Jagdish Arora, the team of Income Tax Department is also investigating at the residence of the officials associated with this group. The team includes Income Tax Officers.

The police force is also deployed along with the raiding team at the places of Som group.
