Complete feeder separation work within time-limit : CM
Bhopal : Feeder separation work is underway on a war footing in the state for supply of power for 24 hours from January 2013. So far, 2,069 out of 6,262 feeders have been separated. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed that feeder separation work should be completed within time-limit. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave these directives during a review meeting of Energy Department here today. Minister of State for Energy Shri Rajendra Shukla and Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram were also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said Energy Department should undertake arrangements for supplying quality power keeping all the possibilities in view. Special attention should be paid to quality in feeder separation work. Besides, payments against completed works should also be made within time-limit. Caution should be exercised in repairs of transformers and defunct transformers should be repaired within three days under SMS-based information system. He congratulated the department for thermal power plants for achieving 73 percent plant load factor during the quarter under review.
It was informed at the meeting that 4,725 million units of thermal power and 484 million units of hydel power were generated during the quarter. Thus, total 5,210 million units of power were generated.
Principal Secretary Finance Shri Ajay Nath, Secretary Power Shri Mohammad Sulaiman, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri S.K. Mishra and Managing Directors of Power Distribution Companies were present at the meeting.
