Now a farmer commits suicide in MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s home district Sehore

Bhopal: Another Madhya Pradesh farmer committed suicide on Monday. More importantly, this time a 54-year-old agriculturist from chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s home district, Sehore, resorted to extreme step by hanging himself at his farm.

Media reports claimed that this is the third farmer suicide in Sehore and fourteenth in Madhya Pradesh.

Bansi Lal, the farmer from Jamunia Khurd village of Sehore, has been depressed for the last few days as he was unable to repay loans that he owed to banks and money lenders, his family members said. He owed around Rs 8 lakh.

Meanwhile, another farmer, 25-year-old Murlidhar from Harda district, attempted to end his life by consuming poison early on Monday morning. His family members rushed him to a hospital, where he’s fighting for his life.

On Sunday, 60-year-old Pyare Lal hanged himself at his farm in Neemuch district. His family members said he was depressed after he was unable to repay a Rs 2.5 lakh loan that he owed to a private bank.
