BSF Thwarts Infiltration Bid in J&K along International Border
Border Security Force (BSF) has thwarted an attempt by terrorists from Pakistan to infiltrate into Indian territory on early Saturday after an exchange of fire near Akhnoor along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir, said reports.
Times of India reported citing sources that a ground of terrorists tried to infiltrate from Pakistan across the border in Pargwal Sector, located nearly 45 km north of Jammu, under the cover of fire from the Pakistanis side.
The Indian side retaliated. “They (infiltrators) ran back into Pakistani territory,” a BSF source was quoted as saying in the report.
“Militants were taking advantage of the thick fog conditions along the international border,” the source added.
