CM Felicitates Auto Driver for Academic Feat
Bhopal — Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday felicitated autorickshaw driver – Gopilal Singh Lavvanshi who has recently awarded the prestigious ‘Sahitya Ratna’ degree by the Allahabad University at the age of 69.
Honouring Lavvanshi for his feat, Chouhan said Lavvanshi has set an example to prove that age is no obstacle when a person is focused on the goal.
Chouhan said that any person who has spent his life in delivering government press notes to newspaper agencies and press achieves ‘Sahitya Ratna’ at the age of 69 years shows his passion for studies.
Lavvanshi, a contract employee with the News Section of Public Relations Department for the last 25 years, delivers government press releases to the press and news agencies.
After successfully completing higher secondary in 1985, Lavvanshi enrolled for the five year Sahitya Ratna correspondence programnme offered by the Allahabad University.
Father of four married girls Lavvanshi continues to work with the Department of Public Relations and could be seen delivering press releases to the various newspaper offices that dot the state capital.
