Steering committee constituted in compliance with National Tiger Conservation Authority’s guidelines

Bhopal: The State Government has constituted a steering committee headed by the Chief Secretary in compliance with section 211 of the National Tiger Conservation Authority, New Delhi’s guidelines regarding tourism in and around tiger reserves. Apart from chalking out policy and strategy on tourism and eco-tourism in protected areas at the state level, the committee will also issues directives and guidelines to departments regarding amendments in rules and guidelines as per requirement.
Members of the committee include Principal Secretary Forest, Principal Secretary Tourism, Principal Secretary Revenue, Principal Secretary Housing & Environment, Principal Secretary Finance, Principal Secretary Tribal Welfare and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife). Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) will be committee’s convener.
