CM directs to complete Shaurya Stambh soon
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to design Shaurya Stambh at Shaurya Smarak in such a way that it inspires patriotism. The Chief Minister directed this during a presentation of design of Shaurya Stambh here today. Urban Administration and Environment Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya and Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that sacrifices of martyrs should be displayed at Shaurya Stambh. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that the pillar should be artistic, but should connect people emotionally. The meeting was informed that the pillar will be about 40 to 50 feet high. Images of torch in memory of martyrs, soldier’s gun and cap and information about martyrs will be on both its sides. It will have such lighting arrangements that it would be visible in the night from afar. Principal Secretary Urban Administration Shri S.N. Mishra, Principal Secretary to CM Shri Iqbal Singh Bais and Secretary to CM Shri Vivek Agrawal were also present on the occasion.
