Bhopal to conform to very norm of Smart City: CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that every possible effort will be made to ensure that Bhopal conforms to every norm of Smart City. Along with Bhopal, other cities of the state will also be made Smart Cities. State’s resources will also be used for this. The Chief Minister was addressing a 3-day Smart City Conclave Bhopal-2015 here today.
Shri Chouhan said that Bhopal city has bountiful of natural beauty. Best practices adopted in the country and world will be adopted to make it a Smart City. A roadmap for Bhopal’s development has been chalked out. People of the city will also be associated with this process. He said that the government will implement all good suggestions. Bhopal will be developed as one of the best cities in the world. The state government is implementing Smart Village Yojana to make available city-like facilities in villages.
In the welcome address, Mayor Shri Alok Sharma informed that experts’ suggestions will be sought to develop Bhopal as Smart City. He said that land will be required for redensification for Smart City. The Chief Minister launched Smart Card introduced by municipal corporation. He also released a special issue of municipal corporation’s e-Newsletter and e-Governance Magazine.
MLAs Sarvshri Vishwas Sarang, Surendranath Singh and Rameshwar Sharma, municipal corporation’s Chairman Shri Surjeet Singh Chouhan, Union Joint Secratary Civil Aviation Shri Anil Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Urban Development Shri Malay Shrivastava and Commissioner Urban Development and Environment Shri Vivek Agrawal were also present at the conclave organised by municipal corporation and Elites Techno Media.
