Be ready to fly high and do extraordinary works : CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has exhorted student to be ready to fly high and do extraordinary works. He said that Madhya Pradesh will become a developed state through education. Shri Chouhan was launching “School Chalen Ham Abhiyan” at Lal Parade Ground here today. On the occasion, he gave away Rs. 25 thousand draft each to meritorious students who obtained over 85 percent marks in class XII exam. He said that Madhya Pradesh will become a prosperous and developed state only through education. He exhorted students to concentrate on studies and move forward in life. They should have no concern about expenses to be incurred on education since it will be borne by the state government. He administered a pledge to students to send children in their neighbourhood to school and motivate them to study. Shri Chouhan said that country and state will move ahead only with creative youth power. He asked the students to take pledge to develop the state and country. The Chief Minister said that he will not allow anyone to lag behind in education due to shortage of money. He said that responsibility of developing Madhya Pradesh as an educated state lies with society also and not government alone. He urged to forget mutual differences and work unitedly for making Madhya Pradesh an educated state and impart quality teaching. State government has launched several novel schemes. He exhorted students to realise their strength and engage themselves in re-building society. They should become employers and not job-seekers. The Chief Minister urged parents to inculcate moral values in their children so that they can contribute in making a cultured society. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also launched Vidyalaya Uphar Yojana. Under the scheme, any person or institution can gift teaching or other important material to school of their choice. Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava said that state government is committed to free Madhya Pradesh from the curse of illiteracy. Scholarships, free uniforms, books, cycles and mid-day meal are being provided. The society should come forward with commitment for this. School Education Minister Shri Paras Jain informed that 10 thousand meritorious students having obtained over 85 percent marks are being awarded this year. SC and ST Welfare Minister Shri Gyan Singh informed that all sections of society should come forward to send all children to schools. Minister of State for School Education Shri Deepak Joshi said that it is responsibility of all to develop Madhya Pradesh as golden state in education sector. In the welcome address, Additional Chief Secretary School Education Shri S.R. Mohanty threw light on the campaign’s outlines. He informed that it will be implemented in phases throughout the year. In a new initiative, over 2 lakh motivators have joined School Chalen Ham Abhiyan. Former Chief Minister Shri Kailash Joshi, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Maya Singh, MLAs Shri Murlidhar Patidar, Shri Rameshwar Sharma, Shri Vishwas Sarang, 10 thousand 500 students and their parents were present on the occasion
