CM urges to develop Vidisha as model Vidhan Sabha constituency

Bhopal: During tour of villages under Vidisha Janpad on Thursday, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged people to cooperate in developing Vidisha as a model Vidhan Sabha constituency. He said that without people’s cooperation concept of model Vidhan Sabha constituency and model village cannot be concretised. He said that every state government scheme will be implemented in ideal way and representatives of other states will visit Vidisha to see them.

The Chief Minister said that officers and employees should pay special attention that people eligible under 22 norms of National Food Security Act are not left out. He directed them to undertake door-to-door survey for this.

Shri Chouhan said that every possible effort will be made to end mutual animosity in villages. He said that the Panchayats elected unopposed will be given Rs. 5 lakh reward. They will be given one and quarters time more funds than other Panchayats.

The Chief Minister said that decisions in favour of farmers are being taken at every level to make agriculture profitable. He urged farmers to use modern implements in farming and pay special attention to horticulture crops.

The Chief Minister appealed to farmers to send children to school regularly. Government is bearing entire expenses on their education. They are being given free uniform, cycles and books. Rs. 5000 per girl will be given if girl students get admission in next class after securing 60 percent or more marks in class XII exam. If they secure more marks smart phones will be given and on securing over 85 percent marks, free laptops will be provided.

During programmes, Shri Chouhan announced to sanction a bridge costing Rs. one crore 85 lakh on Andiya Road at village Saunthar. At village Roda, he announced construction of a bridge over Ghatheri. He announced high school building at village Saunthar, piped water scheme at village Dangarwara, deepening of lake, digging of new handpump, construction of school’s boundary wall and a platform, opening of new middle school at village Adampur, fencing around Qabristan, opening of high school at village at village Bhatni and announced survey for construction of stop dam on Nevan river.

During Chief Minister’s tour, cancer patients gave applications for treatment and arrangements were made immediately to send them to Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was weighed against fruits at villages Ahmadpur, Hansua and Dangarwara.

The Chief Minister participated in local programmes at villages Sauthar Ghatkheri, Kankarkheri, Dangarwara, Bhatni, Hansua and Teelakheri, gave a patient hearing to people’s problems and directed to solve them.
