CM: Efforts should be made to avert third wave of Covid

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that such efforts should be made in the state so that the third wave of Corona may not come. In Kill-Corona Campaign-4, more and more tests should be done contact tracing and micro containment areas should be made. The work of identifying each patient and providing free medical kits to them should continue uninterruptedly.

Chouhan said that public participation is the key to control of corona. Crisis management groups of villages, towns and cities should work proactively. Chouhan said that out of 22,813 gram panchayats in the state, 20,565 gram panchayats are corona free.

Chouhan was reviewing the condition and arrangements of the corona in the state through video conferencing from the Mantralaya. Health Minister Prabhuram Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman were present in the meeting.

The Chief Minister directed to examine the studies in the country and the world in relation to the third wave of Corona. Discuss with the experts and prepare accordingly. Health services should be continuously improved.

Total 1977 new cases have come in the state. The state’s weekly positivity rate is 4% and today’s positivity rate is 2.8%. In the last 24 hours, 6888 patients have recovered and the number of active patients has come down to 38327.

More than 100 new cases have come in the two districts of the state, Indore and Bhopal. There have been 533 new cases in Indore and 409 in Bhopal. Apart from this, there are more than 50 cases in three districts Jabalpur (99), Sagar (96) and Gwalior (51).

Total 46 districts of the state have less than 5% positivity rate. Weekly positivity rates in six districts is Indore (8.1%), Bhopal (7.7%), Sagar (7%), Ratlam (6.1%), Anuppur (6.6%) and Rewa (5.2%).

Chouhan congratulated the entire team of Khargone district for effectively controlling the corona infection in Khargone district. Today’s positivity rate is 2.1% and 25 new cases have been found. The situation is also better in Neemuch. Today’s positivity rate is 3.7% and 19 new cases were reported. Corona has been controlled well in Barwani district. The weekly positivity rate here is 0.7% and today’s positivity is 0.6%. There are eight new cases. In Dhar district also the infection is controlled, with a weekly positivity rate of 3.9%.
