Burhanpur, Khaknar and Nepanagar Will be Made Number One in Development: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Burhanpur, Khaknar and Nepanagar area will be made number one in the field of agriculture and infrastructure development. Sanctions will be given for the schemes related to these areas. CM Shri Chouhan was addressing the convention held to express gratitude at Khaknar of Burhanpur district today. Newly elcted MLA Sushri Manju Dadu and Mayor Burhanpur Municipal Corporation Shri Anil Bhonsle were present on the occasion. Shri Chouhan expressed gratitude towards the voters of the area to elect Sushri Manju Dadu from the Nepanagar Assembly constituency.

CM Shri Chouhan said that Khaknar area will be made pollution free. Not a single poor of the district will be left houseless in the next four–five years. Residential pattas will be allotted to all the landless families. Law will be enacted for this during vidhansabha session. Moreover, Shri Chouhan said that the state government is working keeping in mind the Integral Humanity ideology of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Further, Deendayal Rasoi will be established to provide full meal to the poor at the rate of Rs. 5. He administered pledge to the people for construction of toilet at each house, plantations around houses and to send children to schools beside making society addiction free by raising hands.

Minister for Women and Child Development Smt. Archana Chitnis said that Bhavsa Medium Irrigation Scheme worth Rs. 130 crore in Burhanpur area will be approved shortly. Member of Parliament Shri Nandkumar Singh Chouhan urged the Chief Minister to undertake foundation stone laying ceremony of the approved irrigation scheme worth Rs. 840 crore at Chhaigaonmakhan in the month of December itself. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed financial assistance cheques to the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes. Moreover, Shri Chouhan handed over the financial assistance cheque to Nupur Agarwal for establishing Cotton Trading under Standup Programme. Also, Residential Pattas, Soil Health Cards were distributed to the beneficiaries. CM Shri Chouhan deliberated with the students of tribal girls’ hostel and enquired about their problems.

Cashless Transactions at Burhanpur Nagar Nigam

Arrangement at Municipal Corporation is being made for cashless transactions for the convenience of the citizens in the present era of demonetization. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave Mobile Point of Sale Machine to the Municipal Corporation Burhanpur today. Cashless transactions will be conducted by this machine with tax payers and citizens by the employees of the Corporation.
