IPS officer Abdur Rahman’s book highlights plights of Muslims

It is Rahman's second book. He first authored a simplified version of the Sachar Committee report in Hindi

Bhopal: IPS officer Abdur Rahman spoke about his book – Denial and Deprivation: Indian Muslims after the Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra Commission Report – here at Noor-Us-Sabah Palace in Bhopal on Monday.
It is Rahman’s second book. He first authored a simplified version of the Sachar Committee report in Hindi. The IPS officer’s second book was released earlier this year and it paints a bleak picture of the status of Muslims today.
The Justice Rajinder Sachar Committee, set up by the UPA government in 2005 to investigate the status of Muslims, submitted its report in 2006. The report of the Ranganath Mishra Commission on Linguistic and Religious minorities was submitted in 2009.
The Inspector General of Police while speaking to reporters in the City of Lakes reiterated that education is the key and it can help Muslims in uplifting their status in the society.
This book highlights and discusses the current conditions of the Muslims with respect to outcome indicators such as population, education, economy, poverty and unemployment.
